With over twenty-five years of experience in counseling and pastoral ministry, Dr. Scott has served as associate pastor of family ministries and counseling at Grace Community Church in the Los Angeles area with Pastor John MacArthur. He served on the faculty of The Master's College and Seminary in the area of biblical counseling before join the faculty of the Southern Baptist Seminary where we now serves as associate professor of Biblical Counseling and the Executive Director of the National Center for Biblical Counseling.
Dr. Scott is a Fellow and member of the board of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) and a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). Scott is the author of The Exemplary Husband, From Pride to Humility: A Biblical Perspective, and Conflict Resolution (Focus) and is a contributor to the book, Think Biblically (Crossway). |

Rod Hairston is a life coach, leader and speaker, with a passion for developing effective male leadership in the family, in the marketplace, and in the ministry. And he's committed to building strong marriages and families.
For eleven seasons he has served as a life coach and chaplain to the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, helping them to build a winning culture among front office executives, coaches, and players. He works regularly with leaders in the professional sports world, helping them navigate a rapidly changing sports culture and a widening divide between the front office and the field. He speaks often at NCAA and NFL team gatherings, men's and marriage conferences, and corporate training sessions.
Rod is a catalyst for personal transformation as a life coach to business leaders and high-profile sports figures, helping them address their private lives in the areas of marriage and family, career transitions, men's issues, transformational leadership, and spiritual growth. Men from all walks of life have been impacted by his discerning approach to male-specific challenges.
He is also the founding pastor of Messiah Community Church, a growing community of Christ followers who are committed to healing and strengthening families through faith in Jesus Christ. Messiah, under Pastor Rod's leadership is church where families of any size, with any challenges, can become salt and light in a society of decaying family life. |
